LB Series ISO 15552 Single-Acting Profile Pneumatic Cylinder
The LB series is a single-acting cylinder for machinery and automation applications that need air-powered extension and spring return. Compressed air extends the piston rod; an internal spring retracts it when the air is exhausted.
Every LB cylinder is made in-house at ATS Pneumatics in Christchurch, whether you choose a common stroke length or enter a custom measurement. Configure your cylinder online, view the price and select compatible mountings before ordering.
Choose your exact cylinder size
Select the bore to suit your required force.
Choose a common stroke length or enter your exact stroke in whole millimetres within the 25–100 mm range.
Select any compatible mountings required.
Review your selection and add the cylinder to your cart. Common listed strokes are 25, 40, 50, 75, 80 and 100 mm. ATS will confirm spring suitability for intermediate stroke lengths.
Features and specifications
Standard: ISO 15552.
Bore sizes: 32, 40, 50, 63, 80 and 100 mm.
Stroke range: 25–100 mm.
Operation: single acting, with air-powered extension and internal spring return.
Seal version: polyurethane (PU).
Working pressure: 1–10 bar.
Temperature range: −20 to +80°C for the PU version.
Air supply: filtered compressed air, lubricated or non-lubricated.
Position sensing: magnetic piston with profile slots for compatible sensors.
Construction: anodised aluminium profile with black-finished end caps.
Rod diameter, rod thread, air-port size and mounting dimensions vary by bore. The overview displays the key dimensions for your selected bore; the technical catalogue includes the full dimensional drawing and tables.
The return spring reduces the force available during extension. Its return force must also overcome the load and resistance on the return movement. Refer to the catalogue’s spring-load tables or ask ATS to check your application.
Mountings and accessories
Compatible front, rear and centre mounting options appear after selecting your bore. Mountings are priced separately, and more than one can be selected where required. Position sensors are additional items. Contact ATS for help selecting sensors or mounting arrangements for your application.
In-house manufacture and delivery
Standard production is usually 3–5 working days, with delivery time additional. An urgent or same-day production request is available through the configurator, subject to workshop capacity and ATS confirmation. We supply customers throughout New Zealand and can assist with replacement cylinders, custom strokes and application requirements.
